Hail damage? We have replacement seedlings…
It’s not too late to snap up some tomatoes and cucumbers from our veg seedlings collection.
They can be planted out in the ground or in bigger pots for a tasty crop later in the year.
Hail damage!
Lots of our customers have been in lamenting hail damage to their seedlings (see top picture showing battered and cracked leaves) after this week’s storms.
We have the solution – perfect seedlings (see bottom image). We managed to move to shelter just in time thanks to our quick-acting staff!
Come along and replace any gaps you’ve got as a result of storm damage so that your veg patch is full and gives you a great harvest.
Lush foliage for indoors
We have some fantastic houseplants in at the moment. One thing we love about them is the variety. Our current selection includes:
- Pachira aquatica
- Sansaveria
- Spider plants
- Golden philodendron
- Peace Lily
- Devil’s Ivy
We also have specialist soil/compost for in the pots that will slowly release nutrients to your plans and keep them looking lovely and feeling healthy.
Herb plants
In stock now – luscious leafy herbs to add to your salads, stews and sauces! We have many to choose from including:
- Greek and purple basil plants
- parsley
- dill
- thyme and many more…
Top Tip: Plant your herbs near the kitchen door on keep them on your kitchen windowsill for easy access when cooking! They are also happy in pots if you keep them watered.
Keep their roots in good soil
We hear it often enough about humans – ‘You are what you eat!’ But for plants its more about the soil their roots are sitting in.
Nutritious soil for the right circumstances can give your plants the right boost at the right time. Houseplants typically need something ‘slow release’ as they are sitting in the same soil for a long term and growing relatively slowly. Some plants are fussy and like an acid-free compost.
We know our soils and can give you informed advice on what is best for your plants and your circumstances. We also have peat-free environmentally friendly options.
We stock a wide variety of specialist and multi-purpose options so just ask which is right and we’ll be happy to help.
Update on Hanging Baskets
We have planted up 55 hanging baskets for our customers – we love to think of them brightening up gardens around our local area!
Our selection of hanging plant favourites includes:
- petunia
- geranium
- lobelia
- fuchsia
- and many others!
Come along and chat to us about the plants we can pop in for you and then come and collect the finished product later…
