Hello friends of Cam Home and Garden
We have seeds coming out of our ears at the shop – come and get all you need for flowers or vegetables throughout the year!
We also want to share news of a gardening project in memory of our colleague and friend, Steve Wynn, who recently passed away.
Steve’s Seeds
Steve was a central part of our life in the shop for years. Many of you will know him from visits to us, and lots of you will have benefited from his treasure trove of tips and advice over the years. He loved to get everyone gardening, especially children and young people.
In Steve’s memory we are making seeds and other gardening equipment available to schools and community groups in the area. We hope this will start many children on a lifelong love of gardening.

New potted plants in stock
Along with our selection of spring bulbs and narcissi we have lots of new plants arriving this Friday including herbs, wildflowers, tulips, climbers and seasonal perennials.

Lincolnshire daffodils
Spring may be around the corner but the sun is still low. Why not bring some golden yellow into your home to brighten up a table?
Following on from our Cornish cut daffs we’re now getting in some fabulous cut flowers from a farm in Lincolnshire.
These are just as lovely and should be in stock for a few more weeks.
All sorts of seeds
It’s always hard to believe that a tiny seed popped in some soil and given the right mix of light and water will turn into a plant.
Magic eh?
Create an enchanting salad with our rocket and tomato seeds, or give the bees and butterflies a treat with one of the wildlife friendly selections we offer.
Onion sets and spuds
There’s nothing like sinking a garden fork into the ground and digging up potato treasures later in the year. But you need to start soon!
We have lots of varieties and are happy to advise on the best type for your needs – how you plan to cook them as well as which corner of your garden is best for which type.
We have onion and garlic sets as well – you can create a whole meal in a few months’ time if you get planning now!
Soil, pots and seed trays
To get your seeds and plants off to a happy start we have lots of quality compost (peat free, as well), seed trays and terracotta and plastic pots in numerous sizes.
If you’re new to gardening or just baffled by the options come and ask us for tips. We’ve got lots of experience and love to share it.
Growing structures
We have some nice sturdy ‘grozone’ structures in stock at Cam Home and Garden. These are an easy-to-assemble metal frame covered in a zip-up plastic cover. A small flatpack greenhouse, basically.
These are perfect for plants that need to be a bit sheltered outside at this time of year.
You can order the one in the picture for delivery to our shop (we’ll bring it to you) or we have some slightly smaller models in stock at the shop.
