Crocus bulbs for years to come
The Cambridge Backs are popular for their carpet of beautiful flowering bulbs…
…so why not grow your own at home, too?
We highly recommend our ‘naturalising’ crocus bulbs – these will settle in and keep sending up new flowers each Spring. Plant some each year and build up a bright display.
Garlic and onion sets
Now in stock – our scrumptious garlic and onion sets. These over-wintering varieties grow slowly over the winter months to provide an early crop next year.
Autumn Champion onions are perfect for planting now – they are versatile and store well.
Our garlic for autumn planting is a variety called Garcua. It packs quite a punch and will liven up Spring salad dressings, curries and stir-fry dishes…
Fruity advice!
Got a glut? Whatever your fruity dilemma we have advice and suggestions for you…
We have a wide range of recipes, equipment and ingredients, and are full of good advice.
We also have years of experience in handling large amounts of fruit… We can’t turn water into wine, but pretty much any fruit is within our skillset!
Whether it’s apples, grapes, currants or pears we can help you process your harvest into jam, wine, juice or cordial.
Winter flowers and plants
It’s the perfect time of year to refresh your hanging baskets and containers.
We have the perfect selection of hardy plants to add colour and foliage:
- hardy cyclamen
- winter pansies and viola (including trailing varieties)
- winter primroses
- wallflowers
We also sell pots, soil, hanging baskets and hooks if you need them! Just pop in and browse our extensive range.
House plants – new in stock
Newly arrived in our popular house plants range we have these trailing beauties:
- Tradescantia
- Humata (with ‘tarantula legs’ as pictured!)

We also have a wide variety of terracotta and ceramic pots and saucers for presenting your new plants. They make a lovely gift for birthdays and other occasions.
