Hello friends of Cam Home and Garden
The sun is out, temperatures are high – time to chill out with friends or just chill out with a home made ice lolly!
When the weather cools a little you can get back to work and plant up some of our perennials to bring permanent colour to your borders.
Whatever you’re up to we hope you have a lovely month ahead.
BBQ essentials
Actually, not just essentials – everything! We’ve got it all:
- eco-friendly charcoal from our local Wildlife Trust
- bamboo and metal skewers
- firelighters, matches, kindling
- cleaning fluid for keeping your kit in good nick
There’s no reason not to ring round and invite friends and family over for an evening of food and chat.
Chill out in the heat…
Or perhaps you fancy something cooler… We have:
- ice packs for your cooler bag
- ice cube trays
- insulated picnic bags
- outdoor games and toys
- drinks bottles to keep everyone hydrated
Come and have a browse in our shop – and pick up a useful bargain.
Perfect Perennials
We still have some perennials – plant them once and they come back every year and get more sturdy as their root systems establish.
Pictured we have pink echinacea flowers, purple salvia flowers and kniphofia, also known as ‘red hot poker’ for their yellow and orange shades.
Agapanthus
A bit like an allium (or a firework…) with their round heads of colourful flowers – we still have some beautiful agapanthus plants in various shades.
Come and pick your favourite!
If you’re thirsty…
Then so are your plants – and yes, of course, we have watering cans and hoses.
In these hot days your plants will welcome an extra drink to keep them fresh and happy and growing strong. The salvia (pictured) will settle better if you water them in well and keep them topped up, and next year won’t need so much attention.
